Allied Help Coalition VI
Putting People With Disabilities at the Forefront
Launched by the Administration for Community Living in 2023, The Grassroots Project helps ensure that people with disabilities are at the forefront of shaping the systems and policies that affect their lives.
The initiative supports self-advocacy by providing tools, resources, and peer networks that help build leadership and amplify diverse voices across disability communities.
From a National Initiative to a Virgin Islands Coalition
In March 2025, VIUCEDD was awarded funding to carry out projects aligned with The Grassroots Project.
Through this grant, VIUCEDD formed Allied Help Coalition VI, bringing together professionals and advocates to improve services for individuals with hearing and mobility disabilities throughout the Virgin Islands.
