Assistive technology can play an important role in helping individuals with disabilities increase independence and participate more fully at home, at school, at work, and in the community.
VIUCEDD provides assistive technology services through VITRAID, connecting individuals, families, professionals, and community members with information and opportunities to learn about available assistive technology.
Assistive Technology Device Demonstrations

VIUCEDD provides opportunities for stakeholders to request demonstrations of assistive technology devices available through its St. Thomas and St. Croix locations.
Device demonstrations allow individuals to learn more about assistive technology and determine how particular devices may support their needs before moving forward.
Assistive Technology Device Reuse
VIUCEDD’s assistive technology services also include opportunities involving gently used and donated equipment.
Through the AT Device Reuse Program, eligible equipment can be made available for transfer and community reassignment, extending the useful life of assistive technology while helping connect devices with individuals who may benefit from them.
Connect With VIUCEDD
Individuals interested in an assistive technology demonstration or learning more about available reuse equipment can submit a request through VIUCEDD’s online system.
