Employment is an important part of community participation and independence for individuals with disabilities.
The Virgin Islands Disability and Employment Work Group brings together agencies and organizations committed to improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities across the territory.
VIUCEDD works alongside Vocational Rehabilitation, the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Disability Rights, and the Government of the Virgin Islands (GVI) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Office.
The Work Group hosts employment roundtables, trainings, and other activities that connect employers, service providers, and people with disabilities to information and resources related to employment, workplace accessibility, and disability rights.

Through its work in the disability community, VIUCEDD helps connect individuals, families, professionals, employers, and community stakeholders with information and resources related to employment and inclusion.
Supporting Employment Opportunities
Disability employment efforts can help individuals with disabilities participate more fully in the workforce while supporting greater inclusion within the community.
VIUCEDD’s broader community-service role includes direct services, training, technical assistance, and model demonstrations.
These core activities provide a foundation for working with individuals and organizations on issues affecting people with developmental disabilities.
